Why Tan At Electric Sun?

What is the difference between our tanning salon and the others? Recently, a previous customer stopped in at our Lenexa store and asked a question that advised us that customers don't know the difference. "Why is it that when I tan at Electric Sun I receive a tan that lasts longer? I recently tanned for 30 days at another salon and my tan faded so fast. But when I tanned here, my tan simply lasted longer. Why is that?" Well, here is the answer: Salons have the choice of what bulb to equip in their tanning equipment. We choose a more expensive bulb that is higher in UVA (bronzing) and less in UVB (burning ray). A high burning bulb or UVB, is a cheaper bulb for salons to purchase, while bronzing bulbs are more expensive for a salon to purchase. Electric Sun chooses a more expensive bulb that gives the user a deeper, more golden tan that simply lasts longer and is more gentle on the skin because it is lower in UVB. High UVB lamps are more abrasive on the skin and breaks down the dermis (upper level of the skin) creating a longer healing time of the skin and faster exfoliation. UVA (bronzing ray) penetrates deeper into the skin where more of the malanicite cells can produce a golden tan. This is why a tan from Electric Sun will last longer than other tans. Goes back to the saying "You get what you pay for". Quality does cost a little more, but well worth it!
